We always suggest that you should have as much pipe work in 22mm copper or plastic pipe were possible to carry the most amount of pressure to the new bathroom. From the bath, we would say you should have all the shower, sink & toilet coming of 15mm copper pipe, you can use plastic pipe under the floor because it will not be seen but above ground, it should be in copper.
The good thing to remember is always, try to re-new the plastic waste pipe, which is also hidden under the floorboards and water test them regularly to test for leaks. We would also recommend that after the pipe is run and all the baller fix valves are set and all the pipe work should be left under pressure and on test for at least 24 hours.
The bath can now be set in place so you can work out the tiling or if it’s a walk in shower it will just be a case of working out were all the cut tiles will end up, we call this sizing out a room. The bathroom ideas should start to take shape after this as there are only the bathroom / shower fittings left to install.
