Dual Fuel Towel Rails

Here at JW McDonald Building Services Ltd we are well established in installing kitchens & bathrooms. We offer to all our clients a transparent service from start to finish and we like our client to feel they are in control of their kitchen & bathroom installation budgets.

As a company we can offer tailor made services so the client can pick from having their own plans put together and we will install the materials, or we can source everything and install. We find that most of our customers like to have their own materials budget so they can pick their own style of kitchen and bathroom.

The bath & shower installation we have just completed is based in New Eltham SE9 which is near Lewisham SE13 or near Blackheath SE12 / SE3 was for a family home.

This Bathroom remodeling job was to make the main bathroom of the house more for children and guests. This meant that the bathroom had to be more child friendly and more functional for the parents to allow the children to function on their own. The job also required us to make the bathroom larger by removing the partition wall that separated the bathroom and toilet.

When installing a new bathroom renovation or remodel there are some requirements for pipe work and electrics that need to be put in place before the job starts. The client said that they specifically wanted a dual fuel towel rail.

We recommend that if you want a dual fuel towel rail you should always ask if the plumber knows or has experience of how this installation will take place before ordering any parts. Our client was told to buy a very expensive towel and a heating element by a bathroom supplier. I had to sadly inform him that I could have used any towel rail and bought the separate parts ourselves for a fraction of the cost.

There were a few reasons for allowing the plumber to direct the client on what to choose

 1) The dual fuel towel rail had fixed bleed points to remove the air from the system

  • This restricted us on where we believed would have been the best place to have it positioned

2) The special towel that our client was advised to buy, had  NON-adjustable wall fixings

  • This meant that if the wall was uneven or there was any variation, this could not be corrected.

The other thing to take into consideration is that you need a power supply and a location for the fuse spur isolator switch that is best installed by the bathroom door entrance.

We hope this gives you a good idea of what we can achieve for our customer on a regular basis. If you need our help with any shower room or bathroom renovations, refurbishments, & remodeling then please contact us using the contact us @ Email- jwmbuildingservices@icloud.com
